- One can do an ability then go AFK to get coffee while their MP regens. 2MP/3sec (135sec) What to wear as a Summoner Most people stick to all MP boosting equip possible.
- Sep 09, 2019 But in the other hand, yulls had low defenses and so do mages. Now, summoners are totally broken OP with 1 sec delay on stun and aoe-hydro blast that land insane dmg like over 3k dmg per nuke. No delay for resummon and i may keep going. ES now are prolly the most OP class l2 ever had in 15 years.

' I will have a look into it again, but as said before: I imported the pastebin and ended up with a skilltree where melee & axe damage was skilled (skilltree went deep into marauder teretory) EDIT: okay nevermind. Maybe I was stupid or my Path of Building was bugged. There is not much melee damage in the build and that is is just a coincidence. No clue if this has been asked yet, but have you tried going Spirit Eater instead of Soul Weaver? And maybe switching out your Bones of Ullr for Alberon's Warpath (big STR gain)? Switching the boots would also allow you to go with a Kaom's chest piece or something of the sort. I'm assuming you favor the Spectres because of their single target DPS, and maybe that greatly out-weighs further buffing your skellies (I just don't have the means to test any of this so wondering what your thoughts are). Thanks! | Posted by on Dec 13, 2017, 8:51:53 PM |
' Phew, don't scare me! :D ' Hey, Soul Weaver are there for not just dmg it's there to guarantee the survival of the spectres we add to the build to help dish out some insane single target DPS. I would never change this for anything, the node is completely absurd for spectres. Tukohama Vanguards are literally the most overpowered single target dmg dealing minion in the entire game atm :) Due to popular demand and me not being a full-time streamer I'm unable to go through all forum threads as I used to, however, I still respond to every question on my YouTube videos! What can I change in this build? The idea is to like, especially with the new jewels, but which ones will suit better? and is it worth it to make a 6l staff? maybe there's something better?) https://pastebin.com/P8ZqTKWL P.s. clothing and bottles are far from ideal xD | Posted by on Dec 15, 2017, 12:48:11 AM |
' Hey, If you wish to focus on the abyss jewels I recommend the new abyss unique jewel belt which works insanely effective for this build. Make sure you stack as much FLAT added dmg to minions as possible as it will get insanely augmented by both the belt & the summon skeletons gem modifiers. ' Thanks for the help!) I'll see what I can put there. >> https://pastebin.com/H8zKyGt6 << And in general, slightly changed the gems and added flat damage. I will try to find the min/max for this build. | Posted by on Dec 16, 2017, 1:06:43 AM |

Hello OP, I've been following this build since new Abyss league. However, I often feel confused with the new 3.1 skeleton mage. Here are the questions that I sum up: 1. Does skeleton mage benefit from the PhYSICAL flat dmg on the ghastly jewel??? (cuz from my knowledge, SM only deal elemental dmg) 2. Which stat on the ghastly jewel yields the most dps for skeleton mage: a) flat ele dmg b) increased cast speed c) Minion have increased attack speed and cast speed if you have killed recently 3. Does added ele dmg support gem always better than minion dmg support gem? (tooltip's number seems bigger but I don't really trust it, especially for summoner) 4. about generosity, I link it with anger but tooptip seems decreased nor does charsheet is it factional? 5. on the sidenote, flesh offering function weirdly in 3.1. It often consume only few corpses on the ground and it sometimes won't consume random corpse at all, is it normal? I know that's a lot of questions and thank you for your patience and looking forward to your reply. | Posted by on Dec 17, 2017, 5:39:04 PM |
' thanks! I get why you'd put most of these things on him, but why lioneye's paws? cheap 20% ms? ' Definitely quite different, I find the playstyle almost less active, because I don't have to stand there, spamming SRS to get max stacks, skellies come out so much quicker just with spell echo :) I enjoy it quite a bit. Are we getting the scourge exclusively for the 70% minion damage if you have hit recently? we don't kill so we probably don't get the spectral wolves right? and the attack speed doesn't affect our main damage dealers either, since they're both casters.. Mew~ | Posted by on Dec 17, 2017, 5:52:50 PM |
' Hey, 1) Very good questions, afaik from my years of playing summoner in this game their spells should be amplified by the phys dmg though I would need this to be verified. I would recommend getting elemental dmg buffs instead since we are scaling that with our support gems. 2) Added flat elemental dmg should be scaled MUCH better, specially with the unique Stygian Vise belt. 3) Never trust Tooltip, even for non-summoners.. :P With the recent buff to them it is possible the added flat ele dmg gems are better, though I need this verified as well. Though according to Path of Building Minion Damage is still top tier, which it should be. 4) Generosity makes the anger become augmented but it only affects your skeletons which means the aura never affects you, this is another great example of never trusting tooltip :) 5) Sounds like a bug to me and should be reported (type: /bug in-game when it happens and report it that way) it should always consume corpses when corpses are available. ' Actually that's a misstake on my end, you should use Victario's Flight boots instead. Glad you're enjoying the build! Yeah it's simply to grant us as much minion dmg as possible but also the speed for your shield charging :) Due to popular demand and me not being a full-time streamer I'm unable to go through all forum threads as I used to, however, I still respond to every question on my YouTube videos! For a more detailed explanation of the build check out the video guide: Soulwrest Summoner Build Guide Video If you are new or uncertain how summoners work, how they are scaled or behave, check out this video guide: Generic Summoner Mechanic Guide If you have any questions you can always come to my twitch stream to get them answered or just to enjoy the stream: Ghazzy's Livestreaming Channel Path of Building Link for the guide: https://pastebin.com/FutR7Sg4 Simply go to 'Import/Export Build' > Click the 'Import from Pastebin' paste the link in there, and then click 'Import' __________________________________________________________________________ Is this build for you? 1. If you are looking for an actual Soulwrest build that can be played in the end-game! 2. A build that is keeping a high quality despite having a very low budget. 3. Insanely high clear speed for a summoner build. 4. A build with a high budget version allowing you to literally deal with ALL content in the game. 5. If you prefer a build guide that has a video linked to it. __________________________________________________________________________ Build Enabling Items: This build is designed around the unique staff Soulwrest so that's obviously the most important piece. However, the other options depend on how you'd like to play the build. If you're aiming to play the way I prefer it to then the other build enabling items would be these: Vis Mortis Bones of Ullr (or any rare boots granting + lvl of spectres) __________________________________________________________________________ Defence & Utility With the use of a Quartz Flask you're provided with Phasing, that combined with high speed allows you to run through enemies whilst your massive army of minions clears everything in a heartbeat! Utility wise this build offers a lot of options that you can decide on yourself depending on your personal playstyle preference. I personally prefer to utilize melee skellies with the build allowing for the enhanced single target approach which I felt the spectres/phantasms didn't provide enough power for. Rampage: WE are recieving this buff via; Bisco's Leash however, as of patch 2.2 we are no longer recieving any bonuses to our minions, however the insane effects it grants increases our clear speed significantly. On top of this it also grants us movement speed which is highly appreciated for this build. __________________________________________________________________________ Pantheon Choices: Pantheon List Major God: - Soul of Lunaris Basically just helps with avoiding some projectile damage Minor God: - Soul of Ryslatha Basically just an additional layer of defence when you're on low life. __________________________________________________________________________ Skill-gems & Setups: Phantasms in Soulwrest: - Phantasm on Kill, Feeding Frenzy, Minion Damage, Controlled Destruction,Greater Multiple Projectiles, Faster Projectiles Note: First of, you don't need this item 6L it's enough there are 6 sockets. We are using the Phantasm on kill support as it allows us to get 20 instead of 10 phantasms. We are using Feeding Frenzy over Spell Echo as it is simply not working for them, and this buffs the rest of our minions vastly as well. Faster Projectile can be changed for Slower Projectile for higher damage output but will significantly hurt clear speed. Melee Skellies: - Summon Skeletons, Minion Damage, Melee Splash, Melee Physical,Faster Attacks, Ruthless Also note that if you hit 4R2B you can switch Faster Attacks for Multistrike! Switch Melee Splash for Added Fire vs single target (or the next gem in order of efficiency if you don't have a 6L) NOTE ABOUT VAAL SUMMON SKELETON: It can absolutely be used to give you a significant damage increase to killing bosses, but has very little use outside of that aspect. ----------------------------- Spectres, Solar Guards: - Raise Spectre, Minion Damage, Spell Echo, Elemental Focus Solar Guard they can be found in these areas: [58] The Battlefront [59] The Solaris Temple Level 1 [59] The Solaris Temple Level 2 [60] Harbour Bridge An optimal helmet for this build would be an Elder helmet with as many of these mods as possible: Minion DMG > Conc effect > 30% More Elemental DMG allowing for 5,6 or even 7 linked spectres in your helmet! Do keep in mind that getting your spectre gem up to level 25 is very big as you gain an additional spectre, this can be achieved through a variety of ways such as: level of all minion gems rolled modifier on a convoking wand, level of intelligence gems on amulet, + level of SOCKETED gems on your elder helmet. Utility: - Flesh Offering, Increased Duration, Spell Cascade, Desecrate Utility: - Convocation Aura: - Hatred Mobility: - Flame Dash Defence: - CWDT, Immortal Call Note: I usually don't lvl the CWDT higher than 3, which means you can't have Immortal Call higher than 5. Obviously these lvls comes down to a matter of personal taste. EE: - Orb of Storms __________________________________________________________________________ Skill-tree & Ascendancy Nodes: Ascendancy Nodes: You start with Mistress of Sacrifice, then you grab Mindless Agression to get to Unnatural Strength. Once these are done you can either go with Commander of Darkness, Essence Glutton or Bone Barrier. It's up to you! Leveling skill-tree, 34 points Leveling skill-tree, 78 points Finished skill-tree Notes: Once the skill-tree is finished, just focus 100% on more jewel slots. __________________________________________________________________________ Leveling Tips: Use Freezing Pulse till you hit lvl 8 where you get yourself Melee Splash, remember to pick up SRS after 'Breaking Some Eggs' quest in Mud Flats and if you lack Strength to use the Melee Splash gem, simply equip yourself with a Heavy Belt or any strength providing item. Once you've reached lvl 20 you can equip a Brightbeak to use together with Faster Attacks linked to Leap Slam or Shield Charge to speed through the content. Simply use any +1 or +2 minion gem helmet before you feel comfortable switching over to skelly summoner which I'd recommend doing when you get 5L or 6L setup for your skellies. The Baron it carries you well in to the Soulwrest switch at lvl 62 with the links 'SRS - Minion DMG - Melee Splash - Melee Physical' as you are lvling the build, AND it's equippable from lvl 26! Bandits: - Kill them all, they give nothing of proper value for you. __________________________________________________________________________ Gearing & Stat Priorities What base items to use: The base items of this build really doesn't matter as we don't care about the base defensive stats such as armour(str), evasion(dex) or energy shield(int). So instead the base items will follow the stat priority listed in this guide. However, the attribute requirement of the items will base how hard it is to chrome (color) which will be the only thing we will think about when planing our gearing. So, if you need 4 blue sockets in an item the recommendation is to get an item that has Energy Shield (int) base or a hybrid base which includes Energy Shield (int). By using this chrome calculating website: https://siveran.github.io/calc.html you can easily track how hard it will be to chrome the colors you need. This YouTube playlist can help a lot for new players and also includes a few tricks when coloring items with the 'wrong attribute requirements' for your build: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLuu-MdPs0Af8A4e3gSsJ1xDKNNcdFwY1r Defensive Stats: 1. Life 2. ES 3. Resistances 4. Dexterity Offensive Stats: 1. Minion Damage Jewels: 1. Flat Life 1. %minion dmg when you've used a minion skill recently 2. % Life 3. Other minion dmg related mods Keep in mind that as a melee skelly approach you're gonna want to use 1x From Dust Jewel! Also keep in mind that if you're going with spectres you're gonna want to use 1 Unending Hunger Flasks: 1x Seething Divine Life Flask of w/e suffix 1x w/e prefix Eternal Life Flask of Staunching 1x w/e prefix Quartz Flask of Adrenaline 1x Rumi's Concoction Granite Flask 1x w/e prefix Quicksilver flask of Heat __________________________________________________________________________ Recommended Unique Items: Soulwrest Vis Mortis Bones of Ullr Bisco's Leash Recommended LvLing Uniques: __________________________________________________________________________ Outro: This build thread is merely a rough guide to lead you in to the builds basics. * RESERVED NOTE: Soulwrest went from being VERY cheap to being VERY expensive, with that said. This build still works very well as a beginner friendly, but it is not a league-starter in the terms of you being able to easily have all your gear sorted within the first 24h. This build was originally designed from my 'Lich Queen' build which is an extremely popular league-starter & beginner friendly build. You simply play Soulwrest as a Lich Queen, which means you don't use Soulwrest till you can equip it. That's it. Looks like fun. Any thoughts regarding linking blood magic in the Elder helm to run one carnage chieftain for frenzy charges? | Posted by on Oct 18, 2018, 5:14:33 AM |
Added rampage info under utility tab. ' It's a nice addition / approach however, seeing as in deep delves or t15/16 maps there are situations where the Phantasms doesn't always survive very well in which cases the spectres are your 'back-up' if you will. All in all, it's a matter of personal taste of how you'd prefer to run the build. This build offers A LOT of free choices that won't impact its efficiency that much. Thanks 4 the guide just one thing, noobs like me who are playing this game from scratch still need leveling guide, normal with suggestions which stones to use on what lvl and bla bla. I dont need items i just need what stones to use on what lvl for a normal leveling. Not everybody is playing this game from beginning. We try to search all forum, but it will be better that everything will be in one place. Thank you, thats just an opinion of a guy who is playing his first season. And you are streaming thats great just you are not online all day :( so the questions its on me :( I watch your stream video trying to figure it out all the stones from lvl 12, and it took me 30 min to see all of them, so its time that i lost. It would take 5 min for to to write everything in one place for idiots like me :( Last edited by BugisBugis on Oct 20, 2018, 7:50:46 PM | Posted by on Oct 20, 2018, 7:41:29 PM |
' Hey! In the guide there is a lvling skill-tree progression listed? First one being HERE which shows how you start the tree out and grabs the minion dmg and life nodes before heading out to the left side to chase more life & minion dmg nodes. Below that skilltree is the second one in the guide which will show you an aprox of how your tree should look like at the little higher levels and then finishing with the finished tree. What is important to understand with skill-tree progression in PoE is that the better gear you have the less eHP/defence you need from the tree (at least in general) which means you can prio take dmg nodes over defensive ones. Whilst having bad gear in terms of eHP / resistances will force you to prio those defensive nodes first. With this in mind, it is impossible to make a template saying 'hey take this node when you hit lvl 5, this one at lvl 6' etc etc which is why my guides are including 'tree examples' such as the one I linked here in this response which is the first one in the guide saying: '32 points skill-tree' so 32 points in which is I think around lvl 25..? (You get skillpoints from quests as well) This serves as a template that you can view and see so that your tree should look something like that when you've invested 32 points to the tree. I hope my answer helped! Hey Ghazzy, great build! Thanks for writing this guide, my first time playing necro and already loving it. I have one question, which red gem can I put into the staff while I can't get another green socket? Also, which utility flask do you recommend for defense to replace one life flask? Not sure if armor or evasion will work fine with this. Thank you! | Posted by on Oct 22, 2018, 10:43:22 PM |
